About the Book
Understanding the Revelation:
A Devoted Look at HIS RETURN
By breaking down each phrase, deciphering each of the symbols, types, analogies and mysteries in the order John received them and by means of searching the rest of the Bible for the meanings and keys and insights “Understanding the REVELATION” brings clear and concise understanding of the most enigmatic and yet most consistent book of the Bible. Through the things John had seen, the things that were pertinent at the time, and (most mysteriously) those things that must soon come to pass, John provided us “first-hand witness” to past, present and future Truths. The Revelation of Jesus Christ is one of the most widely read books of the Biblical Canon – but also the most controversial. Assuming nothing more or less than confidence that if God promises a Blessing, He most certainly will provide the Way to receive it: To Read, to Hear, and to Treasure the Words of the Prophecy of the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Whether from beginning to end or by finding your favorite (or most enigmatic) chapter or verse: “Understanding the REVELATION” will open doors and minds and hearts to Who He was, to Who He is, and to His Coming!

When reviewing the major events and chapters in the Revelation, this timeline can be very helpful.

About the Book
Redemption: Restoring Our Lost Legacy
Every soul that has ever had a reflective thought regarding who we are and how we got here has pondered on the condition of Mankind. How did things go so wrong? Can we possibly fix our fallen nature? Why did God allow this to happen? Could He not have prevented Adam for choosing so poorly?
"Redemption: Restoring Our Lost Legacy" tackles these and many more soul searching questions. Using both human experiences and God's Word this book brings a level of understanding to our souls, hearts and minds that can renew, rejuvenate, and reignite our hope and our confidence in the Plan and Purpose of our loving God! While recognizing the two main ideas behind what we often call Redemption, the clear purpose of God through Jesus' willing sacrifice is more fully defined. His death not only became the life-for-life Ransom for all who choose to be born again; it also paid the price required to redeem our legacy.
This amazing, breath-taking story can be seen, interwoven throughout the Bible. From the Pentateuch and history to the Prophets and Poetry of the Old testament; to the Gospels and Epistles and Prophecy of the New, God has revealed His Plan and Purpose: all was done in order to enable us to truly share eternity with Him! Not just to be in eternity with Him (that would be easy) but to make us fit to share eternity with Him - and that would cost Him His very Life. It is a story that centers around the Revelation the Father shared, the Revelation that when shared resulted in the greatest display of worship ever recorded. And it is a story that is founded on God's willingness to choose to do all that was required to include us in His eternal plan - a choice He thoughtfully made BEFORE He Created a Man in His Image and Likeness.
Excerpt from pages 56-58
Here is who John saw in Revelation 1:12-16:
Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands; and in the middle of the lampstands one like the Son of Man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash. His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire. His feet like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice like the sound of many waters. In His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp, two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength.
Or, if I may be so bold, in a less formal way:
I turned, only to see a man in the middle of seven lampstands – like the ones that were once in the temple in Jerusalem. He was a man, but not like any man I had seen before…and yet somehow familiar at the same time. He was dressed like a priest with a long garment down to His feet…I know because His brightness was such that I needed to turn my eyes downward to avoid His light. His feet were actually the first things before my eyes for that very reason.
As my eyes were drawn upwards, I noticed the sash of golden material across His chest – and it spoke to me of His purity and majesty and His great value (which seemed an odd thing to think of a man). His head, covered by His hair, shown white – white as wool, and snow, and, well, white. The white was so bright that in a way it made His whole garment look white – though I cannot say for sure its color.
And then my eyes met His – and if it were possible, the brightness and whiteness just a moment before seemed dull as compared to the brilliance of His eyes. Like a flame of fire, they purged and purified at the same moment that they cleansed and healed!
Immediately, out of reflex I lowered my eyes to His feet again, but truly seeing them for the first time, I now noticed the burning, sparkling – almost like stars falling through the bronze of His feet. His feet that I somehow knew had carried Him through trials…such trials! Even into the very depths of Hades (making mine seem a cool breeze in comparison). His feet that had trod those trials victoriously – bringing all of His enemies to a crushing defeat.
His voice, though I know He had spoken before – like the sound of a trumpet, loud and strong, was now to me like the roiling of waters in a stream – gurgling almost laughing – exhilarating. I believe I was trying to look at His mouth to see if He was really speaking, when out of the corner of my eye I saw in His hand – His right hand – seven stars of brilliance. I wondered at them and then, noticing again the lampstands around Him, I wondered at them as well.
My eyes, which had only briefly been distracted, returned to look at His mouth – hoping to discern if the sounds I heard were words He was speaking. What I “saw”, coming from His mouth both scared me and comforted me. For what came from his mouth was the Word of God like a sword of battle – a double-mouthed sword, sharp and swift. Behind His spoken words, which more took shape than sound, I looked at His face, which emanated light and warmth like the noon day sun – but on a winter day so that it warmed, not scorched.
And then it struck me. All the memories of His face: from our first meeting on the edge of the sea to our journeys across Judea, to that time on the mount (His face then very much like His face now), to when He broke bread and washed our feet – and then His tortured face, His marred and broken face. But then He lived, and we saw His face again and we were comforted by it – but only for a short time. He looked on us, commissioned us, and then said farewell – as His face disappeared into the clouds.
His face – His majestic, loving, awesome, kind, yet terrible face. These memories flashed through my mind quicker than a blink and then I knew: this is the face of Jesus!
